Koforidua

Koforidua, also popularly known as K-dua or Koftown, is a city and the capital of Eastern Region in southern Ghana.Koforidua was founded in 1875 by migrants from Ashanti. It is also called New Juaben.The city has a settlement city proper population of 183,727 people as of 2010, Koforidua is an amalgamation of two Municipalities; New Juaben North and South. The city has a blend of colonial and modern architecture.

CAPE COAST

Cape Coast is the capital of the Central Region, in southern Ghana. It’s known for its role in the transatlantic slave trade. Overlooking the Gulf of Guinea, Cape Coast Castle is a large whitewashed fort built by the Swedish in the 17th century. It was later used by the British as a holding prison for slaves. Inside, the Castle Museum has exhibits on pre-colonial local history, the slave trade and traditional crafts

TAKORADI

Sekondi-Takoradi is a city in Ghana comprising the twin cities of Sekondi and Takoradi. Sekondi-Takoradi is the region’s and largest Fante city as well as an industrial and commercial center. The chief industries in Sekondi-Takoradi are timber, cocoa processing, plywood, shipbuilding, its harbour and railway repair, and recently, sweet crude oil and crude oil. It is one of the most modern and cleanest cities in Ghana.

ACCRA

Accra is the capital of Ghana, on the Atlantic coast of West Africa. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park honors Ghana’s first president, who helped lead the country to independence. SUNYANI

Sunyani is surrounded by the forested uplands in the mid-south western part of Ghana. The city of Sunyani rose as an outpost camp for elephant hunters during the 19th century; its name derives from the Akan word for elephant, 'Osono'. Sunyani became an important hub for the distribution of cocoa, kola nuts, and staple foods such as maize and yams. Sunyani is a clean and well maintained city with a thriving economy

KUMASI

Kumasi is the capital city of the Ashanti Region, in southern Ghana. It’s known as a center for Ashanti culture. In the huge, open-air Kejetia Market, stalls sell everything from glass beads to Ashanti sandals. The National Cultural Centre offers craft workshops and dance performances. It includes the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, which displays jewelry and ceremonial clothing belonging to the 20th-century Ashanti king.

HO

The city lies between Mount Adaklu and Mount Galenukui or Togo Atakora Range, and is home to the Volta Regional Museum, a cathedral, and a prison. It was formerly the administrative capital of British Togoland now part of the Volta Region. The Municipality shares boundaries with Adaklu and Agotime-Ziope Districts to the South, Ho West District to the North and West and the Republic of Togo to the East.

BOLGATANGA

The name Bolgatanga (Bolbatanga) was derived from the Guresi words bolba migrants and tanŋa pyramid. Historically Bolgatanga was situated at the southern terminus of the ancient Trans-Saharan trade route. The eastern route converged with the Sahelian route, near Bolgatanga. Along the route, handicrafts—especially straw baskets, hats and fans, as well as leather goods, metal jewelry, and indigenous attires — were exchanged for kola nuts and salt.

WA

Wa has been inhabited for several hundred years, by traders who settled in Wa to participate in the trans-Saharan trade. Wa also holds the mortal remains of Babatu, a notorious raider well known for his raids in the Upper West region during the late and early 19th century. In 1892, G. E. Ferguson, a Fante man who had explored the Asante Empire and areas to its north on the instructions of the governor of the Gold Coast Colony, reported that the population of Wa at the time was larger than that of Accra.

Tamale is Ghana's third largest city and it is the fastest-growing city in West Africa. Most residents of Tamale are Muslims and Dagombas by tribe, as reflected by the multitude of mosques in Tamale, most notably the Central Mosque, Afa Ajura Mosque, Afa Basha mosque and The Ahmadiyyah Muslim mission Mosque.Tamale is located in the Northern Region of Ghana and more precisely in the Kingdom of Dagbon. The local chiefs and the district chief of Tamale are subservient to the Dagomba King in Yendi.The language of the people in Tamale is Dagbani.
